Bone Broth Benefits for Men: Why Men Should Be Drinking Bone Broth Every Day
What if we told you guys that there’s a natural and tasty way to fuel your workouts, speed up your recovery, and improve your overall health? You’d probably jump up and down wanting to know the secret. The secret is Osso Good bone broth. Bone broth can achieve all of the above, and more. This delectable, all-natural brew is chock full of powerhouse nutrients, like amino acids and a big dose of protein. That means you can ditch your chalky protein powder in lieu of something cleaner, leaner and more delicious.
What Is Bone Broth?
Osso Good bone broth is a far cry from the packaged stock hiding in the back of your pantry. Bone broth is generally made from slowly simmering animal bones, meat, and vegetables to extract gelatin and nutritious compounds — earning it a superfood status.
And it also ranks high on the manly status. After all, what could be manlier than drinking something made from all the meat and bones our ancestors used to hunt and then boil over a fire? Certainly not a powder found in a tub.
In addition to its superfood and manliness rankings, Osso Good bone broth also fits into your healthy lifestyle. Our broth is compliant with Whole30 and Paleo diets. We use only pasture-raised, organic ingredients that are free of antibiotics, gluten, dairy, hormones, and mystery flavors.
How Does It Help Men?
Bone broth is full of nutrients that work together to help you build stronger muscles, reduce the loss of cartilage from overuse, and repair the body’s defense mechanisms. Bone broth is a natural source of proline and glycine, amino acids that aren’t readily available in other meat sources. These amino acids aid in tissue repair and the maintenance of lean muscle fibers, which help you recover after a heavy workout — or even just mowing the lawn.
Is It Better Than Protein Powder?
Yes! Bone broth is bursting with collagen, which is the most abundant protein in the body that functions as the glue that holds everything together. Collagen creates and maintains all of our connective tissue, strengthening tendons and ligaments to support healthy, functional movement.
While the nutrition label might look similar to your favorite powder, the nutrients in Osso Good bone broth come directly from whole foods, such as meat, bones, and vegetables. That means it provides naturally occurring calcium, magnesium, potassium and other minerals that replenish electrolytes and support optimum cell function.
Bone broth is also totally free of any questionable fillers, hidden sugars and artificial colors. And if you think you need caffeine to keep your energy up, trust us — bone broth is better. The amino acid glycine boosts your nervous system function without the dreaded spike and slump that coffee or straight caffeine can bring.
Besides, you don’t have time to mix 20 different powders and pills. And you don’t have to. Bone broth is a one-stop shop for everything you need to fuel the heaviest workouts, help you recover from muscle fatigue and boost your immunity to combat those pesky colds. It keeps your body running efficiently and effectively. Bone broth does it all in an easily digestible, delicious and, dare we say, manly drink!
Yeah, we’ll dare say it. That’s because we make it with more care and effort than even a heavy workout or mowing the lawn may take. We first painstakingly gather all the right ingredients. Organic vegetables are a big part of our recipe, and bones are an even bigger part.
Depending on the broth we’re making, we use organic chicken bones, organic turkey bones, Berkshire pork bones and/or grass-fed and finished beef bones. Filtered water is another component in our broth, as is a dash of organic apple cider vinegar to ensure all the nutrients are properly unleashed.
We let all the amazing ingredients simmer for up to 24 hours, resulting in a flavorful, gelatin-rich and nutrient-dense treat for you.
