Ever wonder what gives Osso Good bone broth its ridiculously good flavor? It is of course the ingredients. We source our beef from Richards Grass fed Beef, a family farm that is AGA certified and goes above and beyond organic standards. We met hundreds of happy cows who graze freely on their 6,600 acres. Read on to see what made this an Osso Good Farm Visit.
Kyle Meniketti took us on a tour of the Richards property. We met two types of cows; Black Angus and Murray Grey. We encountered happy cows of all ages, including many under a month old. From the time they’re born they are fed only grass. Rest assured, these cows are never given grain, corn, or soy. In addition, they are also added hormone and antibiotic free. Maybe this is what makes the cows at Richards Grass fed Beef such happy cows.
The cows get to drink spring water that flows naturally throughout their property. Their pastures are never artificially fertilized. We even got to take a dip in their cool waterfall. It was so clean, crisp, and refreshing. Maybe next time we will remember our swimming suits so we don’t have to swim in our clothes!
At the end of our tour, we got to help herd a group of cows from one field to another. They sure do love their food! It was exhilarating to end our tour with a group of cows surrounding us. Seems like all healthy and happy cows should live like this.
What makes Richards Grass fed Beef Better?
“Grass fed beef is high in beta-carotene, Vitamin E & B, essential Omega 3 fatty acids, Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), and Trans Vaccenic Acid (TVA). Because grass fed animals are naturally leaner, the beef is also lower in cholesterol and calories than commercially raised corn fed beef. Eating grass fed beef is the right decision for your health & the health of your family!” excerpt from www.richardsgrassfedbeef.com
